Privacy Policy

Last Updated: XXX

1. The Scope of This Policy

Privacy and security of one’s personal information is very serious. The following is the Hemp Save The World (“we”; “our”; “us”) Privacy Policy, which governs how User information is collected, used, and shared when you visit or make a purchase from www.hempsavetheworld.com (the “Site”) and other products and/or services provided by Hemp Save The World (collectively referred to as our “Services”), including but not limited to our use of third-party services. Our Privacy Policy does not apply to the practices of Sellers or third-parties who may also collect, receive, or process data in connection with your use of our Services. Please take your time to read our privacy policy carefully so you fully understand. By accepting our Terms of Service, and by continuing to use our Services, you agree that we can collect and process your information in the ways set out in our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree with our Privacy Policy or how we collect and process your personal information, you should not use our Services. We are not responsible for any User Content; any Seller’s terms of service, privacy policies, or business practices; or third-party websites, apps, or other services.

As outlined in our Terms of Service, you must be 18 years or older to use our Services. Children under 13 years of age are not permitted to use our Site or any of our Services. Minors between 13 and 17 years of age, inclusively, are only permitted to use our Services if done so under direct supervision of a parent or legal guardian through an account owned by the parent or legal guardian. You are responsible for any and all account activity conducted by a minor on your account.

We are the sole owners of the information collected through our Services. We do not knowingly sell any personal information collected or processed through the use of our Services – to do so without an individual’s explicit consent would be unethical.

2. Why We Collect Personal Information

We collect personal information for a variety of reasons: essential functionality of our Services, improving our Users’ experience, and for business and marketing purposes.

Essential Functionality

We collect some personal information to make sure the basics of our website work smoothly for you.

  • Account Creation and Management: Just like you need an address to get mail, we need some info to set up and manage your account so you can use our services.
  • Providing Services: To actually give you what you came here for – whether it’s letting you buy something, read content, or use a specific feature – we often need certain details.
  • Communication: If you have a question, we need a way to get back to you! Your contact information lets us do that.
  • Security and Fraud Prevention: To keep your account safe and protect everyone from bad actors, we collect some information to verify who you are and spot anything suspicious.

Improving User Experience

We also collect some information to make your experience on our website even better!

  • Personalization: Imagine walking into a store where they already know what you like – that’s what we’re trying to do online. By understanding what you’re interested in, we can show you things that are more relevant to you.
  • Analytics and Website Improvement: We look at how people use our website to figure out what’s working well and what we can make better. It’s like seeing which aisles in a store people visit the most so they can organize things better.
  • Remembering Preferences: Have you ever set a language or kept items in your cart? We need to remember those things so you don’t have to do it every time you visit. It makes things easier and faster for you.

Business and Marketing Purposes

We also collect some information to help keep our website running and growing, and to make sure we’re following the rules.

  • Marketing and Advertising: We want to let people know what is offered! Knowing a little about what you’re interested in helps us show you relevant information about products or services, kind of like seeing ads for things you actually might like.
  • Market Research: To make sure we’re offering things people actually want and need, we sometimes look at trends and general information. It helps us understand our audience better so we can improve what we do.
  • Monetization: Like any business, we need to make money to keep the website running and populated with great content, products, or services. This involves sharing your personal information with our Sellers, or showing you ads.
  • Legal and Regulatory Compliance: There are rules we have to follow, just like any business. We might need to collect certain information to meet legal requirements, like verifying your age or location for specific services.

3. What Personal Information We May Collect or Receive

We collect personal information from you directly, automatically when you use our services, and sometimes from other sources. We may combine information we have about you from multiple different sources. We use this information as described in this policy to get a better understanding.  Throughout this policy, ‘Personal Information’ refers to any data that can directly or indirectly identify you, including details like your name, date of birth, email address, government IDs, billing and shipping information, bank details, as well as information about your device.

Information You Provide to Us

General Account Information

To use our services beyond just browsing, you’ll need to create an account.  This requires you to provide your name and email address. The name you choose will be publicly visible and linked to your activity on our Services.

If you intend to make purchases, you’ll also need to submit your payment, billing, and shipping details. Payment and billing information will only be shared with our payment service providers who facilitate completion of the purchase transaction, such as processing credit card payments. Shipping information will only be shared with our Sellers who facilitate order fulfillment.

We will not disclose your billing and/or credit card information to other third-parties unless required by law or a court order, or unless disclosure is required to address an issue implicated by the financial transaction. For example, if you claim that your billing and/or credit card information was used to make a purchase you did not authorize, details about the transaction may be disclosed to law enforcement and any party we deem necessary to address the matter.

Seller Account Information

If you apply to be a Seller, we will collect the information you provide in your application when you register, including your name, email address, phone number, and physical address. We also request additional information from you to confirm your identity and the legitimacy of your business, such as government issued photo identification, documents confirming your address, and your company’s registration documents. Submitting these documents to us will help us verify your store.

Your privacy is important: information submitted through the application process will not be publicly displayed and will only be used internally by Hemp Save The World and our service providers, unless we specify otherwise.
